Trujillo Excels, Paris Wins Semi-Final Game 1
The Paris Lions started the Semi-Final in style, downing the visiting Iceland Aurora at Paris Municipal Park by a score of 8-6 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Lions designated hitter Israel Trujillo was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Franklin Wouters came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Iceland pitcher Tim Siragusa, he hit a full count slider for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Paris on top, 7-6.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Trujillo, "and then get after the next one."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Paris Municipal Park in Paris.
