Monsters Squeeze By Paris, 2-1

Fans of the Mobile Monsters who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Mobile win over the visiting Paris Lions, 2-1. Oscar Martel started for the home team against Teruo Noda. Teruo Noda earned accolades for his performance. Mobile pitcher Scott Bradburn got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Griff Murphy got the loss.
Mobile got a clutch hit from Arturo Acosta. The designated hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
In postgame comments, Acosta said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
