Providence pitcher Cyril Dimitrakos did his part in helping his team defeat the New York Skyliners, 6-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Dimitrakos got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 8.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. With the win, Providence upped its record to 10-8.
David Morrison, who finished 2nd in the TOBA in stolen bases with 21 last year, helped out the Providence cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk.
