Paris Lions left-hander Teruo Noda pitched a good game against the Mobile Monsters at Paris Municipal Park, leading his team to victory, 4-3. The winner was Noda. He threw 7.2 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Scott Bradburn. William Kelly, who finished 5th in the TOBA in saves with 10 last year, nailed down the save.

Harry Cook helped out the Paris cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 4.

After the game, Paris manager Dan Danielson applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

Paris now sits at 9-14, while Mobile falls to 13-10.
