High-pressure game situations don't seem to affect Tage Hogh, the bullpen ace of the Innoshima Boomers. This season he was regularly put to the test and regularly made quick work of the opposition. In recognition of his dominance, the Geiyo Islands League today presented the 1955 Best Pitcher to him.

Hogh appeared in 22 games and converted 6 saves in 9 save opportunities. The Boomers star had a 3-2 mark with a 1.06 ERA. He also chalked up 18 strikeouts and walked 15 in 42.1 innings of work.

He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 8. Dante Powers of the Hiroshima Ironmen finished second in voting, while Aldred Maas of the Innoshima Boomers finished third with 1 first place vote.
