Suzuki Cracks 3 HR for Ironmen Thursday, June 17th , 1954 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Imabari Ginners. Hiroshima right fielder Kenji Suzuki tripled up on the home runs to propel the Ironmen to a win, 12-8, at Team Park. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Imabari manager said. "Suzuki hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Suzuki collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Kenji Suzuki hit a two-run home run off Jacob Holland in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jacob Holland in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Damon Koustoubos in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
