New York Won't Make Playoffs
Monday, August 10th , 1953
It's not quite the championship run that fans in New York might have envisioned. The New York Skyliners were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today.
"There are a lot of good clubs in Trans-Oceanic Baseball Association and unfortunately we couldn't quite make it into that elite group this year," said Skyliners manager Dan Danielson.
The Skyliners are still searching for their first playoff appearance. The team also missed qualifying for the postseason last season.
