At the young age of only 26, Maurice Duchemin has been named the Trans-Oceanic Baseball Association Reliever of the Year Award winner for 1955.

The future appears bright for the Providence Anglers relief ace, who captured the award with 20 saves in 34 relief appearances, 39 strikeouts in 59.1 innings and a record of 5-5 to go with his 1.97 ERA.

He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. William Kelly of the Paris Lions finished second in voting, while Mike Butler of the New York Skyliners finished third.
