Pesa Gets Award for Relief Work Sunday, July 27th , 1958 At the young age of only 26, Vladimir Pesa has been named the Yugoball Stopper Award winner for 1958. The future appears bright for the Sarajevo Silver Knights relief ace, who captured the award with 9 saves in 26 relief appearances, 19 strikeouts in 41 innings and a record of 3-1 to go with his 1.76 ERA. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Branislav Pupovac of the Rijeka Sailors finished second in voting, while Milo Lovre of the Rijeka Sailors finished third.
