Pesa Named 1958 YB Ballplayer of the Year Award Winner Thursday, July 31st , 1958 When it came to hitting the baseball, Dositej Pesa had few peers in the Yugoball this year. The gifted second baseman for Zagreb tagged opposing pitchers for a .308 average and was voted the Ballplayer of the Year Award for 1958.
