Big Day with Bat: Pesa 5-for-5 Monday, June 22nd , 1953 It was high-fives all around for Pedrag Pesa at Detroit Grounds. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Ljubljana Tigers. Pesa smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 7-0 win. "Pedrag was hitting everything," said Silver Knights manager . "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Tigers manager told BNN beat writers that Pesa "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Pesa oversleeps next time." Pedrag Pesa singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
