Badeni Wins YB Prize, Named Best Hitter in June Monday, July 1st , 1957 Veit Badeni, the Podgorica third baseman, certainly made a name for himself this past month. He banged out a .385 batting average with 30 hits, 7 home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 18 times. That kind of hitting earned him the Yugoball Batter of the Month honors for June. In 55 games this year, Badeni has posted a .308 average and put up these numbers: 11 home runs, 31 RBIs and 32 runs scored. |
