Logan Dominates Iceland D Wednesday, August 4th , 1954 Tim Logan kept the Iceland D Rail Cats hitters from doing much damage at Gold Miners Park. Iceland D could only muster 3 hits and draw 3 walks against the right-handed Logan, who controlled them throughout the game. New York D won the contest, 5-0. Logan added 3 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Logan told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." To date this year, Logan has compiled a 1-2 mark with a 4.15 ERA in 6 starts. |
