Paris D's Mulder Suspended Monday, June 23rd , 1958 Hassle an umpire and you will have to pay the consequences. Just ask Paris D second baseman Dan Mulder. He argued to excess over a third strike yesterday in the Paris D-New York D game at Gold Miners Park. Today the league office notified Mulder that he had been given a 3-game suspension for his egregious conduct. Luckily the Steelheads manager and the bench coach intervened physically and removed him from the field. Otherwise it might have gotten even worse. Mulder has a .333 average and a .333 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 1 hit, no home runs and driven in 1 runs. |
