Providence D-Lisbon Fight Results in Suspensions Saturday, July 11th , 1953 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Providence D-Lisbon contest at Brooklyn S A Grounds. The Chicks Ostoja Subasic and the Jazz Vladimir Cubrilovic will have to sit out 4 and 2 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. This season, Subasic has hit no home runs and posted a .235 batting average. |
