Paris D Bats Silenced by Gales

Shanahan Gales had an impressive outing at Gold Miners Park, hurling the New York D Gold Miners to a 1-0 shutout victory over the Paris D Steelheads.
"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Paris D skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
On the day, the right-handed Gales yielded 5 hits and tallied 10 strikeouts with 2 walks.
