Dracos Send Marullo to Tokyo Sunday, May 23rd , 1999 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Dracos announced today the acquisition of 34-year old LHP Angel Rodriguez and 23-year old minor league RHP Edgar Leyva from the Tokyo 99ers in exchange for 24-year old 1B Aaron Marullo, 21-year old minor league RHP Ramil Pulle, 24-year old minor league C Steve McDonald, 20-year old minor league 2B Haregewoin Vuai, and $325,000 in cash. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Dracos, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." |
