5-for-9 Game for Sulima Wednesday, March 30th , 1955 It was a sensational day at the plate for Sean Sulima as he led the charge to a nifty 8-7 win over the All-Stars. The Boston School of Applied Sciences & Technologies shortstop was pure misery for the Rome Community College pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 9 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Sulima put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the All-Stars, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Sean Sulima doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th, singled in the 10th, flied out in the 11th, flied out in the 14th and flied out in the 15th. Looking at his stats this year, Sulima has compiled a .304 batting average, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 18 runs. He has played in 27 games and scored 23 runs. |
