Fresno Community College Wins League Championship Series Monday, May 5th , 1952 The Fresno Community College Big Stick will continue the trek towards a Championship Series title, while the Rome Community College All-Stars are headed home for the season. Fresno Community College won the League Championship Series with a clinching game 3-2 victory at All-Stars Ballpark, concluding the series at 4-2. "We didn't want this thing to go any further, that's for sure," Brandon Taborn said after officially being named series MVP. He turned in a dominant offensive performance to win the award, with a .750 batting average, .750 on-base percentage, 0 home runs, 0 RBI and 0 runs scored. The Fresno Community College Big Stick don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Ghent Community College Mud Cats - Buffalo Junior College Warhawks series.
