Buffalo Junior College Defeats Fresno Community College Thursday, May 15th , 1952 The Buffalo Junior College Warhawks ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Fresno Community College Big Stick 7-5 to win the Championship Series. Buffalo Junior College won the series 4-2, capturing the title for the 1st time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Buffalo Junior College manager . "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 34-16 and claimed first place in the NA Division. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and second baseman Alexis Colas said the Warhawks have "great fans and they deserve this." "I am so happy for our city right now," he said. |
