Seafarers Win, 6-4, at Los Angeles
Spirited fans greeted the Los Angeles Stars for their clash with the Lisbon Seafarers.

The Lisbon Seafarers polished off the Los Angeles Stars by the score of 6-4. The largest share of the credit belonged to second baseman Fergus Harris. Harris was 3-4 with 2 triples. He scored 2 times for the Seafarers. The winner was Rudolph Morgenstern in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Kelvin Campbell took the loss.

Harris had a game-changing triple in the top of the ninth. On a 0-2 cutter from Kelvin Campbell, he banged a run-scoring triple to right, giving the Seafarers a 5-4 lead. It was the 3rd triple of the year for Harris.

Harris expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."

The victory gives the Seafarers a record of 16-10.
