Due in large part to second baseman Phil Anderson, the Providence Anglers sunk the Los Angeles Stars, 14-4. Anderson went 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. With the win, Providence raised its record to 15-13.

With Providence leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Anderson hit a cutter from Eitan Löbel for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Anglers ahead, 4-0.
