The New York Skyliners and Mobile Monsters put on a pitchers' duel.

The Mobile Monsters got a superb performance from pitcher Omar Cespedes. Still, it wasn't enough to beat New York. The Skyliners won the game, 2-1. Cespedes threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Matt Heydt got the win, improving to 4-4. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. Eddie Johnson earned save number 1 this season.
