Stars Pocket 6-3 Win Against Lisbon
|
The Lisbon Seafarers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Aaron Williams into a win. Instead, the Los Angeles Stars prevailed, 6-3. Williams threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Reliever Khalil Smith picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Aaron Williams, who leads the TOBA with a 1.87 ERA, took the loss. With the victory, the Stars upped their record to 24-23.
David Morrison, who led the TOBA in extra base hits with 36 in 1955, helped out the Los Angeles cause in the top of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the left fielder drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Morrison.
