Seafarers Sunk by Mafia
The Lisbon Seafarers and Sicily Mafia provided some drama for the home crowd.

Sicily designated hitter Salvatorio Tartaglia had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Lisbon Seafarers, 7-6. Sicily is 23-28 and Lisbon, with the loss, 29-22.

Cipriano Furio drew 2 walks for Sicily. The slick-fielding center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off John Clark. It was his 12th walk of the season.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Furio told the Sicily Daily.
