Sicily Defeated by Los Angeles, 4-2
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the former first overall pick Jon Maas, the Los Angeles Stars stopped the Sicily Mafia, 4-2. The victory gives Los Angeles a record of 26-26.
With Los Angeles trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Maas hit a sinker from Enea Paluzzi for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Stars ahead, 3-2.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Maas told the Los Angeles Daily News.
