Starting pitcher Najib bin Anwar gave the Keiper Krakens a rock-solid effort. The Nkourani ya Sima, Asteroid Belt native helped his team defeat the Tokyo 99ers, 3-2, at Kraken Grounds. Keiper reliever David Grullon picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Jose Lopez was tagged with the loss. Keiper raised its record to 27-15 with the win.

Eibe Otto was the walk-off hero for Keiper. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Krakens designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said bin Anwar.
