The Iceland Aurora picked up a win at Paris Municipal Park, knocking off the Paris Lions, 2-1. Starting pitcher Ewan Moore played a key role in the triumph. Moore, now 1-0, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. The win puts Iceland at 3-3.

Iceland used a clutch at-bat from Trace Newman to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Aurora ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Ewan gave us a really big performance," said Iceland manager Dan Danielson.
