The Keiper Krakens used the hitting of first baseman Roberto Torrez to subdue the Umbriel Shadows, 6-3. For the game, Torrez went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. David Grullon earned the save, his 14th. This win makes it 6 in a row for Keiper.

There was more than one reason the Krakens beat the Shadows, but Torrez's big at-bat in the top of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

"We're playing like we're capable of," said Keiper manager Richard Stryker.
