Excitement reigned at Stampede Park as Gorky Gales hurler Anatoly Chailahyan tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter.

After defeating the Sofia Frogs, 3-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments.

"I'm just glad to be here," Chailahyan said. "Today I just went right at the Frogs as hard as I could, as long as I could."

Chailahyan, who is tied for 2nd in the in quality starts with 9, chalked up 9 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks in his superb performance.

"I don't think they could have stopped him with a howitzer today," said Gorky manager .
