Sicily designated hitter Salvatorio Tartaglia played a vital role in his team's 6-4 conquest of Lisbon. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Sicily. The Mafia now have a record of 26-42 with the win over Lisbon.

Tartaglia had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 curveball from Ambrosius Schwartz, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Mafia a 6-4 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Tartaglia.

"It feels good to get this one," Tartaglia told the Sicily Bulletin.
