The Iceland Aurora rode a solid performance from 24-year-old starting pitcher Ewan Moore to a win, beating the Paris Lions, 4-2, at Aurora Field. The winning pitcher was Moore, now 6-7. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 5. Chris Decker was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.

Caesar Friis-Knutzen had a big run-scoring double for the Aurora in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Iceland leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Iiro Mikkola, who finished 4th in the TOBA in ERA with 2.68 last year, and swatted a double to right. It was his 19th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aurora ahead, 4-2.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Moore.

Iceland is now 33-35, Paris 24-44.
