Umbriel got a terrific performance from pitcher Johannes Fakihi, but it wasn't enough to beat the Sedna Supernovas. Sedna won the Shadows Stadium contest, 8-3. Fakihi threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Mike Rodriguez, who went 7.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 4-5. The 4th-place Supernovas improved to 30-34.

The Supernovas got a big hit from second baseman Moos Zeeman. Facing Umbriel pitcher Sharif Najeeb in the top of the eighth, Zeeman pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 7th home run of the season put the Supernovas ahead, 8-1.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Zeeman.
