Los Angeles Defeats Iceland
The Los Angeles Stars earned their 2nd Atlantic Series title and now have all winter to spend basking in the glory, while the beaten Iceland Aurora will have plenty of time to wonder what went wrong.

Los Angeles became the Trans-Oceanic Baseball Association champion for 1955 with a 9-3 triumph to capture the series 4-3.

"Both clubs are talented. We just made fewer mistakes than they did," winning manager Dan Danielson said to the press corps at the postgame press conference. "We made the crucial plays and got the timely hits."

Iceland skipper Dan Danielson agreed with that assessment, saying his club turned out to be "a little weak on fundamentals" at crucial times.

"I have a sneaking suspicion we will be working on fundamentals a lot next spring," he said.

On the way to the Atlantic Series championship, the Stars ended up in first place in the Trans-Oceanic Baseball Association West Division and compiled a 51-33 record during the regular season.
