Ruge Hits for the Cycle
In an outing that will go down in the annals of league history, Leningrad third baseman Marko Ruge hit for the cycle, as the Pelicans marched to victory over the Volgograd Owls, 6-5.

Ruge collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. He added 3 RBI and 3 runs scored to help Leningrad take the Road Warriors Park contest.

"It was the last thing on my mind, really," Ruge said. "I'm out there trying to get a blooper or a walk or whatever might help the team. Even if I had wanted to, hitting for the cycle is probably as much about luck as about skill anyway."

Marko Ruge singled in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Fadeuka Gerdt in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th and grounded out in the 12th.

So far this season, Ruge is batting .273 with 12 home runs.
