The Sicily Mafia picked up a win at Mussolini Municipal Park, dropping the Newfoundland Labradors, 4-3. Pippo Ammanati, who is tied for 2nd in the TOBA in innings pitched with 157.1, was the difference-maker. Today's win puts Sicily at 37-34, while Newfoundland falls to 32-39.

Sicily designated hitter Salvatorio Tartaglia contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 78th hit of the season and put the Mafia ahead, 3-1.

Sicily manager Dan Danielson praised his team's "businesslike approach."
