The Sicily Mafia overcame a pretty good performance by Iceland left fielder Josh McCrery, beating the Aurora, 6-5, at Mussolini Municipal Park. McCrery was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win went to Arnaldo Mori in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Tim Siragusa took the loss. Sicily is now 10-14, Iceland 13-11.

The decisive blow was delivered by Salvatorio Tartaglia in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off four-time All-Star Tim Siragusa to win the game for Sicily. The home crowd went nuts.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Tartaglia.
