Skyliners Suffer 4-2 Road Loss
The Los Angeles Stars locked up a win at Stars Stadium, knocking off the New York Skyliners, 4-2. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Adam Scali. He played a major role in the triumph. Scali, the winner, moves to 5-1. He threw 8.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. The first-place Stars have a one-game lead in their division.

Ray Feltz had a big solo home run for the Stars in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Los Angeles leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a curveball from Matt Heydt, who is tied for 8th in the TOBA in quality starts with 4, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Stars on top, 2-0.

Los Angeles manager Dan Danielson called it "a darn good win."
