Fisher Silences Den Helder, 7-0 Thursday, June 19th , 1958 It was not a good day at the plate for the Den Helder Farmers. They came up empty when it mattered against Leeuwarden Bombers right-hander Hanskarl Fisher, who scattered 6 hits across 9 innings and held the Farmers scoreless. "We had 6 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Den Helder manager said later. Fisher chalked up 2 strikeouts and 3 walks in the 7-0 Bombers win. This year, Fisher has gone 4-3 with an ERA of 2.24 and has 15 strikeouts in 56.1 innings. |
