Tozer Muzzles Den Helder Bats
Wednesday, June 17th , 1953
It was not a good day at the plate for the Den Helder Farmers. They came up empty when it mattered against Leeuwarden Bombers right-hander Josh Tozer, who scattered 4 hits across 9 innings and held the Farmers scoreless.
"We had 4 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Den Helder manager said later.
Tozer chalked up 2 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 10-0 Bombers win.
This season to date, Tozer has a record of 4 wins and 1 loss with a 4.02 ERA, has appeared in 8 games and struck out 13 in 40.1 innings.
