5-Hit Game for Jugovic Friday, June 20th , 1958 It was a sensational day at the plate for Stevan Jugovic as he led the charge to a nifty 14-7 win over the Wreckers. The Mobile B right fielder was pure misery for the Paris B pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Jugovic put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Wreckers, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Stevan Jugovic tripled in the 1st, flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This year, Jugovic is hitting .360 with 31 hits, 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and has scored 17 runs. |
