Everything came together at the plate for the 27-year-old shortstop as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Volcanoes triumph, 14-4, at Volcanoes Park. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Wolford said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Dave Wolford doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and tripled in the 8th. This year, Wolford is batting .311 with 6 home runs. |
