Casias Razor-Sharp, Shuts Out Mobile B Thursday, June 30th , 1955 It was not a good day at the plate for the Mobile B Red Wings. They came up empty when it mattered against Providence B Sabres right-hander Ismael Casias, who scattered 6 hits across 9 innings and held the Red Wings scoreless. "We had 6 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Mobile B manager said later. Casias chalked up 9 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 8-0 Sabres win. This season, Casias has compiled a 9-2 mark with a 3.03 ERA. |
