Ledoux Too Tough, Blanks Sicily B
Sunday, July 5th , 1953
In a remarkable performance, New York B Pride starter Tom Ledoux beat the Sicily B Wallabys, 5-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Pride hurler finished with 10 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Sicily B manager said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
For the year, Ledoux has compiled a 5-6 record with a 3.90 ERA.
