Lisbon Comes up Empty Against Walker

Dave Walker was dynamite at Maples Field, blowing away the Lisbon Maples in a shutout victory. The Providence B Sabres starter had everything working as he held the Maples to 7 hits in the 1-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Lisbon skipper . "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Walker finished the game with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.
Checking out his stats for the season, Walker has racked up 6 wins and 7 losses in 14 starts, posted a 4.95 ERA, and struck out 80 batters in 107.1 innings.
