Los Angeles B Shut Out by Brock
Sunday, July 10th , 1955
In a seemingly effortless performance, Aaron Brock of the Providence B Sabres shot down the Los Angeles B Cheetahs, 4-0, on 6 hits.
"Aaron was just locating so well and using his pitches," Providence B manager said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Brock recorded 6 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Los Angeles B manager said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
So far this year, Brock has made 5 starts, tossed 56.1 innings, struck out 36 batters and walked 20. His record is 6-6 with a 4.63 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .273 batting average.
