Bargo Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Tuesday, July 19th , 1955 The hot bat of Wreckers first baseman David Bargo continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 1-for-5 in today's 5-4 loss to the Maples at Maples Field. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." David Bargo flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th. In 37 games this season, Bargo is batting .349 with 44 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 16 runs and driven in 19. |
