Wilson Humbles Providence B, 7-0 Thursday, July 28th , 1955 Dowd Wilson was dynamite at Maples Field, blowing away the Providence B Sabres in a shutout victory. The Lisbon Maples starter had everything working as he held the Sabres to 8 hits in the 7-0 win. "He was pure nasty out there today," said Providence B skipper . "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing." Wilson finished the game with 8 strikeouts and 2 walks. This season, Wilson has compiled a 9-5 mark with a 4.31 ERA in 17 starts. |
