Wilson Shuts Out Lisbon, 4-0 Sunday, July 31st , 1955 It wasn't easy but Ryan Wilson made it look that way. Wilson silenced the Lisbon Maples, 4-0, in a Mobile B Red Wings triumph at Houston AA Stadium. Despite the appearance of dominance, Wilson said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 6 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." In 19 starts this season, Wilson has notched a 9-10 record and a 4.82 ERA. |
