Bardin Electric in 2-0 Win Saturday, July 12th , 1958 Maximilien Bardin kept the Berlin C Cave Bears hitters from doing much damage at Shockers Park. Berlin C could only muster 2 hits and draw 2 walks against the right-handed Bardin, who controlled them throughout the game. Paris C won the contest, 2-0. Bardin added 10 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Bardin told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." Bardin has made 13 starts so far this year and put up a 5-8 won-lost record with a 4.47 ERA. In 102.2 innings he has allowed 128 hits, walked 20 and struck out 63. |
