He racked up 2 strikeouts, surrendered 6 hits, and issued 1 walk on his way to the victory. "We barely made him work at all," New York C manager said later. "Iceland C could probably pitch him again tomorrow if they wanted." On the season, Phillips has compiled a 2-4 mark with a 2.66 ERA in 6 starts.
