Standley Razor-Sharp, Shuts Out Paris C Monday, June 27th , 1955 Adam Standley was dynamite at Whitehawks Grounds, blowing away the Paris C Shockers in a shutout victory. The Lisbon C Whitehawks starter had everything working as he held the Shockers to 4 hits in the 1-0 win. "He was pure nasty out there today," said Paris C skipper . "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing." Standley finished the game with 8 strikeouts and 5 walks. For the season, Standley has logged 5 wins and 4 losses and struck out 47 batters in 79 innings while compiling a 3.76 ERA. |
