Super Swinger -- White Slams 5 Hits Monday, July 4th , 1955 Thanks to Phil White and his big bat, the Celtics derailed the Lisbon C Whitehawks, 15-3, at Whitehawks Grounds. The Los Angeles C second baseman had a standout game with 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Phil White doubled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Batting .374 to date, White has 4 home runs and 13 RBIs. |
